Mexico is one of the TOP 10 Dive destination in the world. Playa del Carmen is the place to be, with restaurants, beach bars and a sparkling night life.

Riviera Maya & Cozumel have over 60,000 hotel rooms, so there is something for every taste and budget. We can suggest anything from a $25 per night dorm room in Playa del Carmen North, to a $1000 per month hotel suite with ocean view.
We are based in several hotels north and south of Playa del Carmen and can provide full accomodations against competitive rates. (as we have own contracts)

We also have agreements with real-estate agencies for long term appartments and accommodation providers for our IDC candidates. (we set this up for you, no fee's for us involved!)
These are reasonable priced and comfortable apartments with kitchen and bedroom and starting prices as low as US$350 per month.

Where is the PADI IDC held?

We have several 5 STAR dive centers along the Riviera Maya & Cozumel.
15 minutes north of Playa del Carmen we have our PADI CDC facilities inside Catalonia Playa Maroma resort.
One of the few facilities with own student area, PADI standard pool and long stretched beaches...
Courtesy transportation available, so you may stay in vivid Playa del Carmen with it's 5th Avenida.

Up to PADI Divemaster you may do at any of our other IDC centers also on the famous island of Cozumel.
This island was a sleepy little fishing community until 1961, when Jacques Cousteau declared it one of the most beautiful scuba diving areas of the world.
Since then the waters of Cozumel have become an underwater marine park to protect the beautiful coral reefs and abundant variety of tropical fish. The wildlife is absolutely amazing due to the clarity of the water and 100 - 200 ft visibility.
The climate is sub-tropical with year round warm ocean waters.

Classes are held ocean front. You look out the classroom's window and you admire the turquoise Caribbean waters right in front of you. We use air-conditioned class rooms with the latest audio/visual media.

Option 1: Vila Coco (studio bungalows)

In the Northern part of Playa del Carmen, located only 2 blocks from the sea, this lovely group of studio bungalows are situated in a cozy garden filled with trees and nature.
It's basic but clean and many divers and employees work and live in this neighberhood.

Studio in north, more quite part of Playa. 3 minutes from main center.

Option 2: La Gaviota (low cost)

Great budget option for the economic traveler.
Run by the lovely Marinez Family, who always are accommodating for all our students.

option 3: Crocodile Apartments

Located in the northern part of Playa del Carmen, Zazil Ha neighbourhood is Crocodile Apartments.
It’s within walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars of the famous 5th avenue and the beach.
